I first came to know the name Nick Perito through my Perry Como records.  I liked Nick's arrangements very much, they were among my favorites.  Then, in the mid-1980s, I saw both Nick and Perry together, at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, Washington in concert.  That Sunday evening was really thrilling for me.  I was only feet away from one of my favorite male vocalists in the whole world and behind him was a fabulous orchestra conducted by Nick - and behind them on risers were The Ray Charles Singers, who also appeared on several Como records.  I didn't want that concert to end, it was a wonderful time.

But Nick's body of work was not just limited to Perry Como, nor was it limited to studio work as he was also a fixture in television.  He was musical director for many Perry Como tv specials - and - he was the musical director for The Hollywood Palace Orchestra for a time as well.  And he worked with a ton of other artists in the recording studio.  Take a look at the Discography section to see just how many.

As with my other discographies, I expect this one to grow over time and be fed information that may not be present here today at its launch.  I will attempt to make it as complete as I possibly can so that viewers can see just how much Nick Perito contributed to our world of music.  Special thanks go to Peter Bay, Music Director of the Austin Symphony Orchestra, for providing me with scans of albums early on to help me get this discography started as well as for his support in looking over the site - and also to Leslie J. Pfenninger for providing me with needed listing information.
