Hi B.J.!!
It's been a long time...this is Jon Skinner
(AKA: "Brasil Nut" on A&M Corner). You know, I hadn't seen
your Sergio or Claudio tribute pages in a long time and ran across
them tonight. To say I am impressed would be an
understatement. B.J., you have done an amazing job of
documenting Sergio and his career.

Anyway, I was doing an Internet search this
evening and encountered your page, where I've been for the last two
hours, reading about Claudio, Sergio -- everyone -- and I'm
amazed!! Excellent job, B.J.!!

Well, I am so pleased to have opportunity to
write to someone (other than myself) who, not only admires Sergio,
but has done a great job of paying tribute to him online. I am
in awe of your knowledge and the thorough manner in which you've
compiled and presented your information. You know, several
people have encouraged me to put together a page devoted to
Sergio. With 30 years of collectibles under my belt, I have
plenty of material to do so. However, I look at your site and
think I could never do nearly as well in presenting Sergio in such a
good light.
One thing is for certain...if I ever do decide
to create a Sergio Mendes page, in addition to the help of Gracinha,
I'll contact you right away for guidance. I feel one could
learn a great deal from you.

For a couple of weeks now I have been trying to remember the name of an
album by Sergio Mendes that I borrowed (stole) from my aunt in the
1980s when I was 13. All I could remember was the popular track
“Never Gonna Let You Go”, but I knew there were many others on the
album that I loved even more, so I looked up his name in MSN search and
the first link it took me to was your site.
When I saw the extensive detail on
these pages my jaw dropped. I had been scrolling through just the
album index for nearly a minute before I realized my mouth was still
hanging open!
Not only have I found the album titles
(“Sergio Mendes” and “Confetti”) I was looking for and the other tracks
I couldn’t remember (“Summer Love”, “Love is Waiting” and “Rainbow’s
End”), I now have a list of other albums I would like to examine from
Mendes’ expansive career.
Thank you so much for sharing your
love of Sergio Mendes and the other artists featured on your web
site. You’ve been added to my favorites and I plan to spend time
reading the equally extensive work you have done on the other artists,
starting with Henry Mancini. I have never before come across a
site prepared with such passion and professionalism; you have truly
“raised the bar”.

Hello BJ,
As a Sergio Mendes fan from the very beginning (1966) I would like to
congratulate you with your astonishing discography of Sergio Mendes. I
visited your website before, but I am impressed by the up to date facts
and completeness of Sergio's discography. I added your website to my
favorites.
Muito obrigado!

Dear B. J.,
I've just seen your updated Sergio Mendes site. It looks great!
I'm still missing his video version of "Mas que nada" (Timeless, 2006).
This song has been a smashing summerhit here in the Netherlands (No 1
on the charts).

On July 15 Sergio performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival in
Rotterdam, Netherlands. His concert has been broadcasted by Dutch
television (interview and compilation, 18 minutes) and
Dutch radio (complete concert of 1 hour). I had the opportunity to
record both. [. . . .]
Kind regards,
