"Released in 1963, A Bossa Muito Moderna
is the sequel to the previous disc Muito A Vontade, reuniting
Joao Donato's first recordings on piano with his trio on which he
performs his own compositions and those of friends Antonio Carlos
Jobim, Roberto Menescal and Sergio Mendes. On this is its first
edition on CD. Donato recounts stories from the time: "It's great to
hear this disc. More than forty years have passed but it seems like
yesterday."
