Special Note: This is Deodato's debut solo album, recorded in 1964 when he was 22 years old, and entirely dedicated to Jobim`s songs. The JSR CD reissue, produced by Arnaldo DeSouteiro for his own JSR label & distributed by Universal, is a 24-bit remastering from the original master tapes, reproducing the original cover art of the LP release. Liner notes by Antonio Carlos Jobim and Tarik de Souza.

Personnel includes: Eumir Deodato (piano & arranger), Luis Marinho (bass), Juquinha (drums), Oscar Castro-Neves & Roberto Menescal (guitars), Copinha & Meirelles (flute), Hamilton (trumpet), Edson Maciel (trombone), Meirelles & Cipo (tenor sax), Paulo Moura (alto sax), Aurino Ferreira (baritone) and Irany Pinto (concertmaster of the string section).
