The Beach Boys in The Teen Set Magazine

Webmaster's Note:  The Teen Set was a magazine published and distributed directly by Capitol Records for the sole purpose of selling records and generating interest in their recording artists.  The magazine featured stories and photos of the musical artists who recorded on the Capitol Records label and was a free give-away where Capitol Records were sold.  One of the main writers of the magazine was Earl Leaf (no relation to Beach Boys liner notes writer David Leaf); Earl Leaf frequently accompanied the Boys on tour and interviewed the Boys about their first European tour on the track "Bull Session With The 'Big Daddy'" found on The Beach Boys Today! album on Capitol.
