Albums - 2011

The Beach Boys, Smile, Capitol Records #T-2580, #DT-2580 (1966).[Unreleased LP]

Webmaster's Note:  This album was planned and sessions began to be recorded in August 1966, but eventually the album went unreleased by Capitol Records.  The project was abandoned in May 1967 after 85 sessions had been recorded.  Counterfeit covers as well as counterfeit booklets planned for insertion into the original album covers have been known to exist.  This project was later on resurrected and released by Brian Wilson himself under his own name as "Brian Wilson Presents Smile" and released under a different label.  Subsequent to that release by Brian, Capitol Records released "The Smile Sessions" Compilation LP & CD Sets as well as a Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set on October 31, 2011 (iTunes digital download) and November 1, 2011 (worldwide physical 2-CD set, 2-LP Set, &
Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set).  These releases are detailed below.
