About
™
Items unique to Allan™ (continued):
[Above: Allan™ has graced the cover of "Barbie Bazaar"
several times; two of the three I've seen are pictured
here.
Notice on the left cover he is wearing the rare "Best Man"
tuxedo ensemble! He wears the standard Ken™ "Tuxedo"
on the right cover.]
[Above: Allan™ named and pictured in the above Barbie™
ad, appearing in Jack and Jill magazine, 1964.]
[Above: This is the front graphic on a doll case from
Europe on which Allan™ appears, holding a camera.
Available in at least two colors.]
[Above: The Barbie™ and Ken™ Little Theatre was very
popular in 1964 also; here we have a set of paper dolls with
that theme - including Allan™!]
[Above: And, Allan™ apparently had his own car...who
knew?! This was a sleek little Mercedes-Benz
convertable Roadster which Skipper™ liked to ride in with
Allan™... this was made from 1964-1968 and came in a variety
of colors and variations. I think Skipper™ has a
little crush on Allan™!]
[Above: Here's further proof that Skipper™ has a
little crush on Allan™ (and Ken™)!
In the double bunk beds set you could purchase for Skipper™
/ Skooter™, there are framed photos on the wall of both Ken™
and Allan™ in their beach jackets!
These framed illustrations were lifted from the Mattel
Fashion Booklets.
And, on the bookcase shelf there is an Allan™ doll dressed
in "Going Bowling" with his arms crossed, just like in the
Fashion Booklets.
Two shelves above him sits a Midge™ doll wearing "Junior
Designer".]
[Above: In 2008, Mattel released the "Campus Sweet
Shop" Gift Set with the first Reproduction Allan™ and a
Reproduction Midge™.
They recreated part of what originally was a set from
"Barbie™ Goes to College"; the soda fountain portion where
Ken™ and Allan™ work every weekend...!]
includes the first ever Alan doll
reproduction.
The set includes a Brunette Vintage Straight Leg
Midge Doll Reproduction wearing Swingin’ Easy #955 (1963)
and a straight leg Alan doll reproduction wearing Campus Hero
#770 (1961 - 1964).
The set also includes a serving tray and two soda shop
glasses.
This is a Gold Label Barbie Doll, which means that no more
than 25,000 dolls will be made. Released in September
2008, the retail price of the set was $108.

[Above: In 2014, Mattel released a Gift Set called
"Double Date 50th Anniversary Gift Set". It was a four
doll set that Allan™ was a part of!
Everyone was wearing their original swimsuits, shoes and
wrist tags.]
